anyway all of sinbad’s assimilated households match his eyes at some point :)
Thinking about how Drakon’s trust in Sinbad lead him to never speaking his mind, even when he foresaw some of the worst events in the series.
“I don’t think the strategy I came up with will work but Sinbad okayed it so it must be good.”
“Sinbad abandoning Sindria seems out of character but I guess he knows what he’s doing.”
Not that him saying anything would have for sure changed things, but I bet it keeps him up at night.
@juruna-yudja You are SO RIGHT. I’m absolutely rotating these replies in my mind!
I have the same headcanon, actually. That being a household member changes someone so that they’re drawn to follow their king by something outside of their own will. Or maybe their will is changed? Something like that. I think once the connection is made the flow of the rukh would make that a certainty, similar to the way magi are drawn to suitable kings. And it would only make sense for that tie to become stronger with assimilation.
An interesting detail to note is that Drakon didn’t vocalize his regret until after the household was gone. Which could be interpreted as evidence to support this theory.
